Higher Ground Joins the CTCN Network
HGF is very pleased to join the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN). The CTCN is the operational arm of the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism, hosted by the UN Environment and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The Centre promotes the accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development at the request of developing countries. It provides technology solutions, capacity building and advice on policy, legal and regulatory frameworks tailored to the needs of individual countries by harnessing the expertise of a global network of over 400 technology companies and institutions. Almost 200 technology transfers are underway in 70 countries for sectors ranging from agriculture and energy to industry and transportation.

Membership in CTCN is a welcome new partnership in HGF's Pilot Implementation and Partnership's Phase. It is an opportunity for developing countries to access our expertise in introducing and piloting the VRC™ instrument for a variety of capacity building, advice, and technology transfer activities including for more effective project implementation, policy planning and target setting.

Developing countries and vulnerable communities, experts, and institutions with interest in working with The Higher Ground Foundation may wish to learn more about how the CTCN works and how we could work together to design a technical assistance request that meets CTCN guidelines.
